Trading on the official PoE2 exchange — 3 steps

Step 1: Find an item
On the official PoE2 trade site, search for the item you want. Use the filters to narrow down stats and price.

Step 2: Whisper the seller
Click “Direct Whisper” on the listing. The game auto-copies a message. Paste it into PoE2 chat to contact the seller.
- 3
Step 3: Complete the trade
The seller invites you to their hideout. Right-click their portrait and select “Trade” to open the exchange window.
Trade safely
Avoid trade scams — 4 red flags
- Wrong item swap — Always double-check the item in the trade window before clicking “Accept”. Scammers swap the listed item for a similar-looking but worthless one.
- Fake currency — Check the currency type AND amount. Exalted Orbs and Divine Orbs look similar at a glance.
- Off-site links — Never click external links in trade whispers. The official trade site never asks you to log in again.
- Price too good — If a Mageblood is listed for 1 Divine below market, it’s a bait. Check the price chart above first.
